Today I married a women of patrician rank. Her name was Julia, and she is the aunt of Julius Caesar. This gave me a new social rank. Which helped when I ran for consul.

In 107 B.C. I was elected consul for the 1st time. However, this won't be that last time I am consul. I am thought to be consul six more times. I am one of two consuls, the consul is a official who shares power of ruling the republic and is in office for one year.

In my earlier years I found an eagles nest with seven chicks in the nest. Eagles almost never clutch three chicks. Since eagles are considered sacred birds of Jupiter the situation was portrayed as a omen. The omen was that I would be consul seven times. Once I was elected consul I made the eagle the symbol of the Senate and Citizens of Rome.
