Gaius Marius: Hi I am Gaius Marius and I grew up in Arpinum, a town south of Latium; I was born in 157 BC. I grew to be an equestrian, and when I was a teenager I found an eagles nest with seven eggs, the people took the sign as an omen because the eagle is a sacred bird and only produces three eggs at a time. They said that I would become consul seven times. After I was consul I decided to join the military and I became a lieutenant, after this I was consul six more times.
